By the end of their training delegates should be able to

• Know what hazardous substances are and how to identify them
• Understand the context of The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations within the Health & Safety legislative framework
• Understand the importance and purpose of the COSHH file
• Know and interpret chemical hazard symbols
• Understand how to implement safe working practices for use and storage of substances
• Raise and report any concerns at work
• Understand COSHH as part of the Risk Assessment process
