Care workers who need this training as a mandatory requirement to meet CQC standards

By the end of their training delegates should be able to:

  • know about the law as it applies to food hygiene
  • understand why food poisoning is on the increase
  • understand how food may be contaminated and how to prevent this
  • know how temperatures affect the multiplication of bacteria
  • state some of the possible causes of food poisoning
  • state the principles of good food hygiene practice
  • put best practice principles into action in their workplace
