NB  There is a written exam (multi-choice). 

Course Content
CIEH-approved syllabus. By the end of the training, delegates will be able to:

  • know the law in relation of food safety and handling
  • state the main food safety hazards
  • know how to take temperatures related to food
  • understand refrigeration chilling and cold holding of foods
  • understand hot holding of cooked food and re-heating
  • know their role as a food handler
  • be able to store food safely
  • know how to keep food premises and equipment clean
  • keep themselves and others safe
