By the end of their training, delegates should be able to:
- know the key principles of infection control
- understand the types of micro-organisms, immunity and infection
- state the chain of infection and how the spread of infection may be prevented
- deal with spillages of body fluids, including disinfection and disposal

- know the importance of good personal hygiene

- evaluate the safety of their own working environment
